If you’re travelling as a larger family, even the best Disneyland Paris hotels for families can get tricky.
Most standard rooms at Disneyland Paris hotels sleep up to four, and while some offer family rooms that sleep five, they’re limited—and they book up fast. If you’ve got more than five in your party (even including infants under 3, who technically stay for free), your options shrink dramatically.
Davy Crockett Ranch is the only on-site hotel that sleeps up to seven, but it’s a 10-minute drive away and doesn’t offer park shuttles.
Otherwise, you’ll likely need to book two separate rooms—and while Cast Members will always try to place you together or connect the rooms, it’s not something they can ever guarantee.

From the moment you arrive, it feels like Disney is rolling out the red carpet. Royal Greeters welcome you at the door, the check-in team takes time to walk you through your personalised guest book, and the entire space is laced with storybook details.
Take the time to look up and take in the breathtaking chandelier—grand enough to rival a royal ballroom.
And if you catch it from just the right angle in the lobby, you might spot a hidden detail…
The crystals align to form the unmistakable silhouette of the Sleeping Beauty Castle, sparkling right above your head.
And the magic doesn’t stop there.
I challenge you not to feel like royalty as you sweep up the grand, curving staircase and wander along the balcony overlooking the lobby.
Every detail has been designed to enchant: the ornate bookcases lining the upper floor aren’t just for show.

Dining is a standout here, too. The hotel is home to three restaurants, including two incredible character dining experiences.
At Royal Banquet, you’ll meet Mickey, Minnie and friends dressed in regal attire—Donald literally gave me a thumbs-up (wing-up?) as I braved escargot and oysters for the first time!
Meanwhile, at La Table de Lumière, you’ll find fine dining with French flair and the only place where Disney Princesses join you for an elegant dinner with their princes—crowns optional, magic guaranteed.
Both dining rooms look out over Main Street, U.S.A., so if the timing’s right, you might even catch the nightly fireworks show from your table—dinner and a show, Disney-style.
And if you aren’t quite lucky enough to catch the show from your dinner table, make an early morning date with breakfast at Royal Banquet.
Get there for sunrise, and you’ll see the park slowly come to life as the sky shifts behind Sleeping Beauty Castle.
If you’re one of the first guests to arrive, ask—very politely—if you can be seated in the Prologue Room or the Ante Chamber for the best views of the park.

Wild West Charm Meets Toy Story Fun
If you’re after a stay that feels totally different from the typical hotel experience, Hotel Cheyenne delivers big. Set up like an old-time Wild West town—with saloon-style buildings named after famous outlaws like Billy the Kid—it’s one of the most fun and family-friendly options on Disney property.
Despite being “on-site,” Cheyenne has its own vibe entirely.
You’re just a 10–15 minute walk from the parks (a gorgeous river path makes it an easy, scenic stroll), but the theming is so immersive you’ll feel worlds away from the crowds.
Hotel Cheyenne’s layout isn’t like a regular hotel—each building is part of a Western-style town with themed lodges and winding paths. It’s adorable.
It’s also the only one of Disneyland Paris hotels to have a self-service laundrette, which is a total game-changer for longer stays or trips with messy little ones.
And yes—there’s a Starbucks right in the reception building for that early-morning caffeine fix before rope drop (mine’s a white blonde mocha with oat milk, if you’re buying).
It’s also close enough to the Disney Village that one night we grabbed Mickey-shaped pizzas and ate them outside our room as the lanterns flickered on. Who needs a hotels near Disneyland Paris when you’re steps away from Mickey shaped carbs?
It felt like we were in a Western movie—just with more magic (and carbs).
When I stayed here for the final weekend of the 30th Anniversary celebrations, the energy was incredible.
Cast Members were genuinely overjoyed to be part of the magic—and it was one of those moments where the Disney “bubble” felt extra special, even in the most affordable hotel on site.
Hotel Cheyenne had a refurb a few years back, and now the rooms are full of Toy Story details—perfect for younger kids or fans of Woody and Jessie.
There are character models in the lobby, and you’ll spot themed accents throughout the restaurant and guest areas.
💛 If you’re visiting in late August or September, you might also be lucky enough to see the Magical Taxi Tour—a beautiful charity event that brings families from Great Ormond Street Hospital to Disneyland Paris for an all-expenses-paid break.
Speaking of which—the Chuck Wagon Café buffet? It’s seriously underrated. It’s one of my favourites on property: hearty, well-cooked food served in a ranch-style dining hall with long benches and a laid-back vibe.
I couldn’t stop going back for their BBQ ribs—the smell alone was intoxicating—and me and my friends couldn’t stop giggling the entire time. There’s something about sharing big plates of food in that family-style setting that just makes it all feel like part of the adventure.
During the warmer months, they even run outdoor BBQs that bring the whole place to life with sizzling grills, music, and laughter under the string lights.
Add in a hidden children’s play area, pony rides in the summer (for an extra fee), and regular meet-and-greets with Woody or Jessie, and you’ve got a stay that’s designed to wow kids and charm adults.
Cheyenne’s layout means every building only has two floors—no lifts, just old-school wooden staircases that add to the Western vibe.
Rooms are simple but comfortable, with Toy Story-inspired decor and space for up to four guests. If you’re a larger group, you’ll likely need to book two rooms and request to be placed nearby.

Woodland Retreat Meets Family Adventure
I’ll never forget the first time we stayed here.
We arrived after an early morning ferry to Calais, driving the last stretch in thick fog, me converting kilometres to miles while my husband squinted at the dashboard (we hadn’t changed the speedometer settings—classic first trip chaos).
But as we pulled up to Davy Crockett Ranch, all the stress melted away.
You check in at the resort’s central hub—a cosy, rustic complex that houses the pool, tennis courts, arcade, play area, restaurant, bar, and shop. From there, you get your Magic Passes and cabin key (yes, a real key!), and that’s where the peace and quiet begins.
One thing I love about Davy Crockett Ranch is that you can actually check in and collect your Magic Passes the night before your stay begins. While your cabin won’t be ready until 3pm, they’ll text you when it is, so you can head straight there when it’s time. You can thank me later 😉
That central area has big Centre Parcs energy: surrounded by wildflowers and greenery, it feels more like a nature resort than a Disney hotel. There’s even a giant wooden bear carving welcoming you in—and a fire pit I was desperate to roast marshmallows over.
Despite being a 10-minute drive from the parks, it never felt like a downside.
We were parked, in the magic, and eating Mickey waffles before you could say “Adventureland.”
And when the day was done?
Our peaceful little cabin felt like our own corner of the forest—birdsong, bee buzz, and three giddy kids rolling in the grass with their new lightsabers.
Every cabin includes:
- a cosy living/dining area
- two bedrooms (one with a double bed + ensuite, the other with 3 singles)
- a second bathroom
- outdoor BBQ area and picnic table
In the kitchen you’ll find the essentials for enjoying a bite to eat in relaxation.
Each cabin has a stovetop and microwave (no oven!), and you can park right outside—perfect when you’re unloading tired kids and bags after a long day in the parks.
The onsite shop provides everything you’ll need, whether you’re heating up hotdogs or sparking the BBQ outside.If you do need more though, the Val’D’Europe shopping centre with a huge Archen supermarket is a short drive away.
Instead of a buffet breakfast, DCR offers morning “picnic boxes” delivered to your cabin cul-de-sac (available by pre-order).
We opted to bring our own breakfast bits and did a grocery stop at Auchan in Val d’Europe for fresh fruit, meats, and essentials. It made mornings so easy.

There’s an on-site restaurant and bar—and I’ve still not stopped thinking about the cocktails at the Crockett’s Saloon.
I loved the space and the quiet—and the kids absolutely thrived with the extra room to run and explore.
What’s New
Since our stay, Disney has begun renovating the cabins—bringing a fresh new look to Davy Crockett Ranch while keeping that signature woodland warmth.
The updated interiors include refreshed soft furnishings, warmer wood finishes, and new lighting, but the real charm?
They’re adding adventure-themed touches featuring Donald, Daisy, Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Webby—bringing Disney storytelling into the space in subtle but joyful ways.
✨ Think cozy cabin vibes, with a playful wink to classic Disney adventures.
Even before the refresh, it was already a peaceful, budget-friendly hideaway where families could recharge in nature without losing the Disney spark.
We didn’t get round to using the BBQ outside our cabin but I can imagine it’s amazing in the warmer months as well.
And while we didn’t make it to the pool or arcade on that trip (the parks and peaceful woodland were enough to fill our days), it’s one of the biggest things I’ve regretted missing.
The pool at Davy Crockett Ranch is often praised as the most family-friendly on site—with a lazy river, waterfalls, splash zones, and a winding indoor slide that’s made for big kids and little ones alike.
It’s the kind of place you could easily spend half a day in… if you can tear yourself away from the parks, that is.
It’s been three years since that trip—and I still think about Davy Crockett Ranch.
And Davy Crockett Ranch remains one of the most underrated family hotels at Disneyland Paris, especially if you value nature, space, and a more relaxed pace.
It could be the reset button you didn’t know your family needed.

Off-site Disneyland Paris hotels doesn’t mean off-brand when it comes to magic.
Sure, staying on-site keeps you deep in the Disney bubble—but if you’re working with a tighter budget, travelling with an Annual Pass, or just want more space to stretch out, off-site hotels can be a seriously smart option.
While I haven’t personally stayed at the official Disney Partner Hotels (like Campanile, Dream Castle, or Magic Circus), I have priced them up more times than I can count—and in almost every case, it’s been better value to book a Disneyland Paris package and stay on-site.
📝 Heads up: Les Villages Nature Paris is often listed with partner hotels, but be careful—regardless of how long you stay, you’ll only receive 2-day park tickets. Double-check ticket inclusions before booking.
And stepping outside the comfort of my Disneyfied safety net meant I discovered some gems that became my real-world favourites—hotels I’ve actually stayed in, with all the perks, quirks, and need-to-knows you won’t find on Booking.com.

This off-site spot quietly became one of my top recommendations—especially back when I held an annual pass and didn’t need park tickets bundled in.
It’s tucked just beyond Val d’Europe and offers everything you need for a relaxed, budget-conscious stay: rooms come with kitchenettes (perfect for fussy eaters or early risers), and the underground car park gave me total peace of mind when I was travelling with my son.
The vibe is chilled, with no Disney theming in sight—but honestly, after a full-on park day, that can be a welcome change. There’s also a seasonal pool (it was closed during my visit), and since my last stay, the entire hotel has undergone a full refurb.
It’s easily one of my favourite family hotels near Disneyland Paris, especially if you’re self-driving and need space to spread out—and if the photos are anything to go by, it’s even better now.

If you love a hotel with a bit of personality, Moxy might be your match. I stayed here over Halloween 2022 and instantly clicked with the vibe: industrial-chic interiors, a buzzing lobby that doubles as a bar, and staff who felt more like fun flatmates than hotel employees.
The rooms are compact but smartly designed, with everything you need and nothing you don’t.
There’s no on-site parking (and it’s awkward to stop via taxi due to a nearby roundabout), so it’s best suited for travellers arriving via train.
But the biggest win? The RER station is literally a few steps outside—meaning you can be in the park in 3 minutes flat.
It’s not the best pick for bigger families, but for solo travellers, couples, or friends on a fun break? It absolutely nails the vibe without draining your bank account.

I’ve stayed here several times when I needed a Disney fix on a tight budget—and as one of the cheapest hotels near Disneyland Paris, I’ve snagged a night for just £20, which is wild.
The rooms are tiny but clean and totally fine for sleeping, especially if you’re out all day.
What makes this place shine, though, is the communal area: a colourful, fun mix of games, books, and casual dining that gives it an almost hostel-like charm (minus the shared rooms). Breakfast is surprisingly good, too—probably the best I’ve had off-site.
The public transport is a bit of a pain (there’s a bus, but it’s infrequent), so I usually opt for Uber or Bolt—especially when I’m clocking 25k steps a day in the parks and want to save my legs.
It’s not luxe, but it’s always the first place I check when I’m planning a quick, last-minute trip and is one of my favourite off-site hotels near Disneyland Paris.

Ibis Budget is the definition of “does what it says on the tin.” I’ve used it a couple of times when I needed a cheap stopover on either side of a longer stay—usually as a travel-day base or to avoid driving tired.
The beds are honestly not the comfiest (think solid as a plank), but the price is usually unbeatable for a clean room and a good location. As cheap hotels near Disneyland Paris go, it’s pretty solid.
There are a few Ibis Budgets in the area, so make sure to check the map before booking—mine was just a few minutes from the DLP gates, which was perfect for an early morning start.
Would I book it for a full Disney holiday? Probably not. But if all you need is a bed, a shower, and a safe place to crash the night before your magic begins—it’s hard to beat.

When deciding where to stay near Disneyland Paris Airbnbs, Aparthotels, and privately-owned apartments in places like Serris, Chessy, Montévrain and Bailly-Romainvilliers are the your best bet.
Some are walking distance to Val d’Europe or the shuttle routes, while others are better suited to those with a car. Just make sure to check the transport links before booking—what looks “close” on a map can easily turn into a 40-minute bus journey if you’re not careful.
And while you don’t get the same Disney theming or perks like Extra Magic Time, you do get more control: space for the kids to crash in a separate bedroom, a fridge full of snacks, and a comfy living area to unwind after fireworks.
