Disney Halloween Festival 2026 Embraces a Victorian Look

The Disney Halloween Festival returns to Disneyland Paris this autumn, with new Victorian-inspired costumes for Mickey and Friends and a reimagined Main Street, U.S.A.
Disneyland Paris confirmed the Halloween Festival details this week, which will run from September 26th till November 1st. The announcement follows a first wave of details released early this year in July, and confirms several features not previously disclosed.
The season culminates on October 31st with a special programme running until 11pm, including exclusive character encounters, a fireworks show, and treat distribution courtesy of M&M’S, the official partner of the Halloween season. It’s the one day of the year where guests of all ages are also able to enjoy the parks in costume.
The Victorian theme runs through the whole season rather than sitting in one place, stretching from the characters themselves to the decorations along Main Street. For anyone who’s visited in previous years, it’s the most noticeable change to the season’s look.
Mickey and Friends get Victorian Halloween costumes
The exciting new change will see Mickey and Friends appear in a new, coordinated, Victorian-style Halloween costume set for the first time. Those with an eye for detail will spot the matching brooches the characters will be showcasing, each featuring a bat adorned with a uniquely coloured diamond.
Guests arriving at Disneyland Park will get a first look at the new outfits as they’re greeted by Mystical Count Mickey and Little Witch Minnie Mouse on the Disneyland Paris Railroad bridge.
Just inside the park, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck will be meeting guests in their new ensembles too.
The costumes form part of a wider Victorian theme running through the season, which is reflected in the decorations along Main Street.
Main Street U.S.A Gets New Decor
The Main Street, U.S.A. decorations are the largest change to the park’s Halloween look this year, extending the Victorian theme beyond the costumes and into the street itself.
The most significant addition is at the Main Street station, where four Art Deco stained-glass windows featuring Maleficent and Ursula will be installed, surrounded by burnt-out candles, banners, and grinning Mickey pumpkins.
The Villains motif carries along the street through new shadow-puppet style banners, while Town Square takes a softer approach, with pumpkins carved in the likeness of Mickey and Minnie finished with gilded Victorian-inspired details and candles shaped like Donald and Goofy.
At Royal Castle Stage, the walk ends with castle gates overrun with thorns, ravens, and Villains-inspired emblems.
The additions join around forty new pumpkins and 170 new candles shaped like Mickey and his friends, along with Victorian-inspired garlands and an all-new original musical score. Nighttime projections will transform the street after dark.
Back From The Other Side
Among the character line-up confirmed in July, one return stands out. Dr. Facilier will appear in Frontierland for character encounters, marking his first appearance at Disneyland Paris since 2022.
As Disney framed it, he’s “back from the other side,” and after four years away, that’s a fair description.
He’s joined by a group of Mischief Makers, among them Goofy and Donald in seasonal outfits, appearing across the park. Jack Skellington and Sally return from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Stitch will appear in his vampire outfit at the Casey Corner Gazebo.
Due to their popularity, a virtual queue has been announced for Jack and Sally, and is likely to be used for Stitch as well.
What’s confirmed so far is unlikely to be the full line-up. Disneyland Paris typically adds Villain encounters through the season, and the app is the place to check from September 26th for the complete list.
What’s Returning For Disneyland Paris Halloween 2026
Trick or Treat Hunt
The M&M’S treat hunt returns for a second year, with guests collecting a map and searching for Mysterious Doors throughout Disneyland Park.
Completed clues lead to a treat at Boardwalk Candy Palace, and the activity requires a virtual queue reservation.
The Unlucky Nugget Saloon
Meanwhile in Frontierland, the Lucky Nugget Saloon will once again become The Unlucky Nugget Saloon, inspired by Phantom Manor.
New for 2026, the experience extends to the upper floor, reimagined with new decor and artwork inspired by the attraction’s iconic portraits, alongside a reworked menu.
Disney Halloween Festival Cavalcade
Mickey’s Halloween Celebration also returns to Disneyland Park, and while Disney has confirmed four floats, the parade itself is likely unchanged from previous years.
Daisy Duck leads the procession, followed by characters including Clarabelle Cow and Horace Horsecollar, alongside residents of the Hundred Acre Wood, Donald’s nephews, and Chip, Dale, and Clarice.
The parade carries a harvest theme through most of its route before shifting tone, with ghosts waltzing down Main Street as the Phantom Manor bride Melanie and the Phantom follow aboard Mickey’s Manor of Illusions.
The cavalcade stops at Central Plaza for a stage performance in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle before continuing.
Food, merchandise, and photo spots
Trick or Treat Hunt
The seasonal food menu leans into the Villains theme, with new items including the Devilish Brookie at Market House Deli and the Ursula’s Curse Cake at Victoria’s Home-Style Restaurant. Merchandise follows the same direction, with the Pumpkin Mickey shoulder plush among the collection.
Disneyland Paris has also confirmed several photo locations for the season. The headline spot is a haunted ruins set at the foot of Sleeping Beauty Castle, with Skull Rock on Adventure Isle offering a family favourite.
Still to Come
Disney has confirmed the shape of the 2026 Halloween Festival, but not the full picture. The character line-up in particular is likely to grow between now and September 26th, and past seasons have seen Villain encounters added closer to opening. The app is the place to watch for those.
